Intro to the Book

We Are All Builders

The pain and risk of launching a product required a team of engineers, stacks of servers, and capital most people didn’t have. Today, you can describe an idea in plain language and watch it take shape in front of you. AI just lowered the barrier to create and gave us all the power to build.

This is exhilarating and terrifying at the same time! But, if AI can do everything, what do we humans do?

What AI can’t do

Large language models are remarkable at the mechanical work of product development. Ask one to draft a roadmap, model a pricing strategy, outline a go-to-market plan, or structure an MVP, it will do so competently and instantly. These are solved problems now.

What AI cannot do is sit across from a customer and feel the weight of their frustration. It cannot read a room, sense when a pitch is falling flat, or summon the conviction to push through when everything is breaking. It cannot see around corners into markets that don’t yet exist, or inspire a team that’s run out of steam.

Those things remain stubbornly, beautifully human — and that’s your only real edge.

10 Things You Will Learn

The skills to be successful in the future are things AI can’t do. Be passionate about an idea, get stakeholders excited through storytelling, and shape the product clay through cycles of development.

1

What it really means to have AI as your permanent execution team and why it changes everything for the solo builder.

2

The Friction Framework: the thinking tool that shows you exactly where your idea will break before you build it.

3

How to combine Vision, Storytelling and Execution into the most powerful builder profile that has ever existed.

4

How to tell a story that makes customers, investors and teammates believe before the product exists.

5

How to ship something real, learn from it fast, and iterate before your competition has finished planning.

6

Why human connection is the one thing AI cannot touch and how to build your career around it.

7

How to tailor your pitch so every room feels like you built this specifically for them.

8

The skills that will separate winners from everyone else over the next decade and how to start building them today.
